Buhari Has Extended IGP Mohammed Adamu’s Tenure By 3 Months – Minister
The Minister of Police Affairs, Alhaji Mohammad Dingyadi, says President Muhammadu Buhari has extended the tenure of Inspector General of Police (IGP), Mohammed Adamu.
BIGPENNGR.COM reports that Mohammad Dingyadi, announced the tenure extension of the IGP on Thursday at the Presidential Villa, Abuja.
He said that the IGP’s tenure was extended by three month to enable a proper selection process for a new IGP that would succeed Mohammed Adamu.
Adamu was due for retirement from the Force on Monday, Feb. 1, 2021, after spending the maximum 35 years required in civil service.
