[Video]: INEC Ad-hoc Staff For Ondo Guber Election In Boat Mishap

A speed boat conveying ad-hoc staff of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) for Ondo State Governorship election, has reportedly capsized.

The boat was heading to Illaje communities of Ondo with the staff and electoral materials when the mishap occurred.

Rescue operation is currently on going as time of filling this report.

No casualty has been recorded as divers are still making efforts to rescue the victims who are on lifejackets.

Meanwhile, sorting and voting exercise have commenced in earnest in some part of the state.

Seventeen (17) political parties are fielding candidates for today’s election, but the contest will be a straight fight between incumbent Governor Oluwarotimi Akeredolu of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Eyitayo Jegede of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) and Agboola Ajayi of the Zenith Labour Party (ZLP).
