Okowa Aide Joins Delta Council Chairmanship Race

A Senior Special Assistant (SSA) to the Delta State Governor on Political Matters, Mr. Oghale Ofremu has joined Isoko South Council Chairmanship race.

The council elections are expected to hold in 2021.

Ofremu declared his intentions during a  meeting of Aviara Grassroot Political Leaders Forum held on Sunday at the Oleh residence of the estlewhile Chairman of PDP Aviara Ward 3, Hon. Stephen Idume.

Ofremu said that he will contest under the platform of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) where he is a stanch member.

He said that he is not a neophyte in the political contest because he had once contested for the seat at a tender age in 2007 but was advised by the local government party leaders to step down despite his tremendous popularity and followership which he still enjoys.

He, however, solicited for the support of his Ward’s Grassroot Political Leaders now that he is more matured and experienced in the management of the party’s affairs as he launches out for Local Government consultation.

Mr. Ofremu is a grassroot politician with a robust political profile. He was the Director General of the sitting DTHA member representing Isoko South II – Hon.Fegurson Onwo (2019).

A former SSA on Youths/Community Development (2015-2019) and presently the SSA to the Delta State Governor on Political Matters.

He was also a member of Hon. Erijo Campaign Organization (1999) and the Operational Head of Hon. Erijo Campaign Organization (2003, 2007, 2011, and 2015), and a member of Isoko South LGA PDP Campaign Organization in 2019.
