Makinde: I Am Back, Tested Negative Second Times For Coronavirus

Engr. Seyi Makinde, Governor of Oyo state, has tested negative the second times for the novel coronavirus infection.

The governor who had earlier on Monday, 30 March, announced that he has tested positive to the virus having gone into isolation, however confirmed that within five day his test result shown negative the second times.

According to him, he was asymptomatic to the coronavirus but would remain in isolation for continued testing which has turned negative.

However, on Sunday night in a series of tweet, Governor Makinde, on his verified twitter handle disclosed that he has tested negative to the virus.

Makinde said that he is back to take charge as the Head of the Oyo State COVID-19 Task Force and thanked members of the team for their steadfastness and all for the prayers and support throughout the period.

“We thank everyone who has been complying with our directives regarding curfew and social distancing. Please, keep following the directives of the Oyo State COVID-19 Task Force”, he tweeted.
