BayelsaDecides: Dickson Calls For Cancellation Of Votes From Southern Ijaw, Nembe, Brass

Governor Henry Seriake Dickson has called for the cancellation of the governorship election results from Southern Ijaw, Nembe and Brass local government areas of Bayelsa state.

The governor alleged that the election in those areas were massively rigged reportedly by the opposition party in connivance with Nigeria Army and policemen deployed to the state.

Dickson spoke shortly after casting his vote at his country home, Toru-Orua, in Sagbama local government area of the state.

The governor, however allegedly accused former governor of the state and current Minister of Petroleum Resources (State), Timipre Sylva for being responsible for the  killings that took place during PDP campaign rally in the State.

Earlier, our correspondent monitoring the election reports that flood sacked the governor’s polling unit, a development which prompted INEC to relocate the unit to Governor’s comprehensive health centre.

As at 11:30am the governor had not come out to cast his vote but accreditation and voting commence at about 9:45am.
