Masked Gunmen Kill PDP Chieftain In Delta
Unidentified gunmen wearing mask have reportedly killed one, Mr. Solomon Ukueberuwa, a revenue collector and chieftain of Peoples Democratic Party, (PDP), in Warri, Delta state.
The deceased, a former chairman of Ekurede-Itsekiri/Ugbori Ward in Warri South Local Government Area of the state was shot multiple times by his assailant.
Sources said that the gunmen ambushed the Ukueberuwa, popularly known as Ogene and opened fire on him around 12: 35pm.
The deceased was a known revenue personnel of Warri South Local Government Area.
BIGPEN Online understands the deceased was shot at the Cemetery road axis of Warri by Odion roundabout within the Warri metropolis.
An online tabloid in the area, Fresh Angle International, quoting one of its Managing Editor reports that “the seeming assailants picked the shells used in killing the deceased from the crime scene after confirming he was dead.
“He was allegedly shot once on his right hand and twice on his head.
“The masked men reportedly came with Ash-Colour Toyota Corolla to the scene of the murder, where the deceased usually carry-out his revenue job”, the report said.
State Commissioner of Police, Mr. Adeleke Adeyinka confirmed the report in a telephone conversation.
