Update: BREAKING! Gen. Yakubu Gowon Slumps At David Ejoor’s Burial In Delta

Former Head of State, Gen. Yakubu Gowon (retd) reportedly slumped at the burial of late Maj.Gen.David Akpodiete Ejoor in Ovwor-Olomu Community, Ughelli South Local Government Area of Delta State.

BIGPEN ONLINE learnt that Gowon slumped from excessive heat during graveside prayers and final salute in honour of Ejoor but was immediately resuscitated by emergency personnel at the event.

From the special tent for VIPs which has air conditioners (AC), Gowon was said to have drank a bottle of coke and started cracking jokes with top dignitaries at the event.

However, two ambulances were stationed in front of the tent in case of emergency.

The funeral was attended by Delta Governor, Dr. Ifeanyi Okowa, Edo State Governor, Godwin Obaseki and former governor, Chief James Ibori, Chief of Army Staff, Major General Tukur Yusuf Buratai, other Service Chiefs,  the Speaker of the Delta State House of Assembly,  Rt. Hon. Sheriff Oborevwori and a host of retired military officers, politicians and Chiefs from the Urhobo ethnic nationality.
