INEC Declares Governor Wike Reelected In Rivers
Governor Nyesom Wike, PDP governorship candidate in River State has been reelected for a second term after defeating his closest rival, Biokpomabo Awara, governorship candidate of African Action Congress (AAC).
Wike polled 886264 votes to beat Biokpomabo Awara, who got 173,859 votes, the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) on Wednesday declared in the keenly contested governorship election.
The State Collation Officer, Prof Teddy Arias who announced the results said Wike won with winning margin of 712,405 votes having satisfied the requirements of the law and scored the highest number of votes.
