BIGPEN NIGERIA Projections For Isoko Federal Constituency
All political permutations, poll survey and analysis are pointing to Mr. Joel Onowakpo Thomas winning landslide the Isoko Federal constituency election.
With just few days to the election, BIGPEN NIGERIA projection based on the online survey and analysis shows Onowakpo is more favoured to win the election than his arc rival, Leo Ogor, the incumbent House of representatives minority leader.
According to INEC chant of wards delineation, Isoko North local government has 13 wards while Isoko South has 11 wards making up the 24 wards in the Isoko Federal constituency.
Onowakpo is strongly believed to have upper hand in the wards/units going by his huge grassroots mobilisation.
It is believed that his opponent and incumbent lawmaker would have difficulties winning in several of the units premised on his wanning support and apparent regret by PDP stakeholders for allowing him win the party ticket.
BIGPEN NIGERIA analytical projections also considered several factors bedeviling the candidacy of Onowakpo’s main rival, Ogor which includes his case with anti graft agency, EFCC, accusation of alleged contract grabbing, his involvement in the House of Representatives budget padding saga, his failures to convene constituency town hall meetings, among others to reach it conclusions.
Pundits think Onowakpo has more grassroots acceptability and endorsement by critical stakeholders than Ogor who is struggling to regain his support base. One thing that would work for Onowakpo is that, his joining the race had also swelled APC chances in Isoko more that his main rival who is seeking a fifty term under the PDP platform.
The huge mobilizations and endorsements from all spade of groups and prominent individuals that greeted Onowakpo’s candidacy only shows APC is in for a big win in both Isoko South and North local government areas.
Our analyst maintains that Onowakpo is banking more on the huge following and his antecedents as former chairman of Delta State Board of Internal Revenue that he would far better by engaging constituents in executing constituency projects unlike his main opponent, Ogor who is widely accused of grabbing same to self and cronies. Ogor is roundly banking more on sympathy vote and claims of bring juicy position back home.
BIGPEN NIGERIA analyst says Isoko people are generally yearning for change of baton, putting political party aside in the Saturday February 23, presidential and national assembly elections they may settle for Onowakpo believing he will be more effective and work for Isoko progress than his main opponent who is using his long stay in the house as basis to get lucrative position that would only feather his nest and that of few cronies.
