Ogboru Gets Rousing Welcome In Isoko, Says Buhari Wants All Delta Votes To Go To APC

The governorship candidate of the All Progressives Congress, APC in Delta State, Chief Great Ovedje Ogboru was over the weekend received massively in Ozoro and Oleh in continuation of his campaign around the 24 local government councils of the state.

Addressing the tumultuous crowd at the rallies, Ogboru said President Muhammadu Buhari was keen to capture Delta State among APC control states in the forthcoming general elections.

Ogboru who spoke during the party’s campaign rallies held in Ekwerigbe Primary School playground in Ozoro, headquarters of Isoko North and also at Isoko Central School playground in Oleh, headquarters of Isoko South Council Area of the state, said Mr. President wants the people of the state to vote APC massively to ensure all federal government projects are well executed and completed.

The APC candidate was earlier at the palace of Ovie of Ozoro Kingdom, HRM Anthony Ogbogbo, Ebuka I, where he was first received by large turnout before proceeding to the palace of HRM Anthony Ovrawah, Omogha 1, the Odio-Ologbo of Oleh, where he also got a rousing welcome.

According to the APC candidate, Mr President has mandated all candidates of the party to reach out widely to ensure the APC is voted in all elections.

Ogboru told the monarchs that a vote for President Buhari by their subjects is a vote for institutional restructuring, saying the traditional institution would be fairly treated in Buhari’s second coming.

Both monarchs prayed for the success of the APC governorship candidate in the polls and also demanded a peaceful electioneering process from him.

Specifically, the Odio-Ologbo of Oleh, who prayed on behalf of other traditional rulers for all APC candidates including former governor Dr Emmanuel Uduaghan who also accompanied Ogboru on the visit, said “This is your time, your time has come and because your time has come, you will be fruitful”, he prayed.

Uduaghan who is APC Delta South senatorial candidate, said that Isoko nation which is part of his senatorial district wouldn’t vote PDP again because according to him, the Okowa-led administration have been shortchanging the people in area of budget planning and implementation.

He, particularly said that the Managing Director position in DESOPADEC that ought to be the turn of Isoko people to produce was manipulated away by Okowa-PDP administration, saying his Isoko people have every reason to vote massively against PDP.

Similarly, APC House of Representatives candidate in Isoko Federal Constituency, Hon. Joel Onowakpo Thomas who received his campaign flag in both councils area, said that voting APC in the next month election would speed up the development of the land.

He said that the large turnout of people was a testimony that APC was rooted in Isoko adding that the people who have expressed their undying love would sweep PDP away finally in the next month presidential and national assembly election.

Ogboru was accompanied to the twin rally by members of the presidential and governorship campaign council as well as several prominent APC chieftains including Dr Alex Ideh, Chief Frank Kokori, Barr. Fred Obe, Comrade Sunny Ofehe, Ambrose Okuhor among others.
