The governorship candidate of All Progressive Congress, APC in Delta State, Chief Great Ovedje Ogboru has released a well tailored campaign manifesto in which he promised to industrialise Delta State within four years if given the mandate.

In the document sighted by BigPen Online, Ogboru said that he was inspired to join the race following the deep yearning of ordinary Deltans on the streets for good governance, that has eluded the state for the past 20 years.

Ogboru, in the document obtained by BigPen Online on Sunday, said that unlike what the PDP offers, Deltans deserve the best of everything: “from good jobs to elating infrastructures to abundance of food and housing to innovative health care and standard education that breed creative and right thinking youths.

“Unfortunately in our 20 years in which the party in power had governed, Deltans have witnessed so much motion with no forward movement in spite of the humongous amount of money that streamed into the state”.

He said that since 1999, the ruling party, PDP always fail in all the elections but often manipulate the process and rig themselves to power.

“With every election since 1999, the PDP has been resoundingly rejected by the informed people of Delta State; unfortunately our collective decisions were desecrated and trampled upon by dark forces within, especially with the backing of the collaborative forces from outside.

He said that the external collaborators at the national level that have always trampled and suppressed his mandate have been eliminated, expressing optimism that in 2019 the votes of Deltans for him will surely count.

“But in all these trampling and suppressions, we refuse to be neither brow bitten nor surrender, but kept faith in God, and for our persistence and perseverance, God answered our cry by taking out the external collaborators at the national level to provide an enabling platform for your vote and mine to count.

According to him, he was offering himself to end the misrule of the PDP-led government, adding that the document was a summation of his policy plans for the state when elected in 2019.

“It is against the backdrop of this nauseous dark odyssey that I offer myself to liberate and launch the state on a trajectory of mercurial, but meteoric growth and development not unmindful of the
arduous task lying before us.

“So it is with every sense of equanimity and responsibility that I lay before you my summation of the challenges before us and premeditated measures, I set to deploy to surmount the challenges, and turn things around to once again lift our spirit and set our attention at our long desired dreams and goals of freedom, development and growth as I invite you to join me in building and creating a new Delta that serves all residents of the state.

Meanwhile, a political associate of the governorship candidate who preferred anonymity, however told BigPen Online that the document would be officially unveil in the days ahead, saying that arrangement is currently on to constitute an all inclusive campaign organisation.
