Manager Says Report Disparaging Him As Ethnic Bigot Was Handiwork Of Sponsored Political Opportunists

Published

on

James Manager, the Senator representing Delta South Senatorial District has lambasted an unnamed person whom he described as belligerent, gabby, shambolic cum egocentric characters understandably desperate for attention as mastermind of the report which portrayed him as ethnic bigot.

An online media (Not BigPen Online) was said to have taken Manager to the cleaners in its recent report entitled: “Over My Dead Body — Delta Senator James Manager Vows An Itsekiri Man Would Not Succeed Him”.

But responding to the publication which went viral on social media, Manager, an Ijaw in a post on his Facebook page on Friday, said that reasonable amount of people that know him well can attest to the fact that it’s not his style to make unguarded utterances.

We reproduce the statement in full below:

My attention has been drawn to a story published by online reporters which has since gone viral in the social media, disparaging my person. The article titled
‘Over My Dead Body — Delta Senator James Manager Vows An Itsekiri Man Would Not Succeed Him’.

Ordinarily, I would not want to dignify such uncharitable report with a response, especially when it is to come from a belligerent, gabby, shambolic cum egocentric characters understandably desperate for attention.

The story itself is a figment of the imagination of those behind it. I have being around the public space for sometime now and a reasonable amount of people that know me well can attest to the fact that it’s not my style to make unguarded utterances.

I know the game is on but let’s play it cautiously please. The publication is surely and definitely the handiwork of sponsored political opportunists.

I hereby urge the public to discard the said publication. Indeed it’s lie from the pit hell.

The contest is about individuals and not ethnic groups.
