JUST IN: Saraki In Closed Door Meeting With Okowa

Nigeria’s President of the Senate, Abubakar Bukola Saraki is currently in a closed door meeting with Governor Ifeanyi Okowa of Delta state at Government House Asaba.
Details of the meeting were still sketchy as at press time but it may not be far unconnected to the presidential ambition of the senate President and the need to forge a synergy.
BigPen Online learnt that Governor Okowa is one of south south governors that have been penciled down by some northern presidential aspirants as running mate come 2019.
Specifically, former Vice President, Alhaji Abubakar Atiku who earlier visited Okowa had reportedly offered the governor who is seeking a second term the slot if he can mobilise South South for him in the 2019 presidential election.
