BREAKING: Official! Saraki, Gov Ahmed Finally Dump APC

Bukola Saraki, Nigeria’s Senate President has finally say goodbye to the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC), after weeks of horse trading over his membership of the party.
Saraki who hails from Kwara state announced his dumping of the party on his Twitter handle @bukolasaraki on Tuesday evening.
He wrote: “I wish to inform Nigerians that, after extensive consultations, I have decided to take my leave of the All Progressives Congress”.

Meanwhile, Governor Alhaji Abdulfatah Ahmed of Kwara state has also announced his defection from the APC through his media aide, Muyideen Akorede, saying his decision followed consultations with people in the state.
“Following due consultations with the people and in response to calls by major stakeholder groups in the state, Kwara State Governor, Alhaji Abdulfatah Ahmed today defected to the People’s Democratic Party(PDP), having realized that the All Progressive Congress (APC) can longer serve as a platform for achieving the aspirations and expectations of his people,” the statement said.
Saraki has not officially announced his new party.
