rAPC Are Cowards, Says Omo-Agege As He Gets Rousing Welcome In Delta
Senator Ovie Omo-Agege, representing Delta Central Senatorial District has described the aggrieved members of All Progressive Congress APC who recently formed a parallel executive of the party under the name Reformed All Progressive Congress as cowards.
Omo-Agege said the break away members of the party, some of whom are also members of the National Assembly would be exposed soon.
He spoke at Osubi Airport, Warri, after he was given a rousing welcome by APC leaders and faithfuls who defiled the heavy downpour to welcome him to the state, having been away for over three months since his travail in the Senate.
An elated Omo-Agege who expressed thanks for the heroic welcome given him, was accompanied by some party leaders including 2018 APC governorship aspirant, Chief Great Ogboru, Chief Frank Kokori, the state party chairman Prophet Jones Erue and other notable party chieftains of the party.
Speaking on President Muhammadu Buhari chances come 2019, the senator said that no amount of gang up can stop Buhari’s re-election in 2019.
Reminded of the crack in the party leading to the formation of Reformed APC, Omo-Agege reiterated with high hopes that President Buhari would win.
“We don’t expect the action of the ‘Rejected APC’ that is what they are called to affect the President re-election, because the people in that group are not very important in their different state.
“All though we know those who are behind them, but out of cowardice they will not show their faces for people to know that they are the once sponsoring them, but we know them, especially in the senate but with time they will all be exposed, so, nothing they can do to stop Buhari’s election in 2019. No amount of gang up will affects Buhari’s re-election.”
On his travail in the senate, he said: “The Urhobo people know that am not a coward and cannot be intimidated by anybody, no matter who is involved, they sent me to the National Assembly, and I have represented their interest that is why they came out in their numbers to welcome me back home.
“I am representing 8 local governments, and one guy who is representing just about 5 local government areas will wake up and say he suspended me, and you expect me to pack my load and go home, you know that can’t happen.
“The actions I took at the senate to address the anomaly is what my people expected me to do, and that is what I will continue to do until justice is done, because the 109 senators are equal.”
