Delta Police Arrests 2 Suspects Who Trail Victim From Bank

Two suspected robbers who trailed their victim from a bank after a withdrawal of money have met their waterloo in Asaba, Delta State capital.

BigPen Online gathered that the suspects were apprehended by a combined team of police operatives and vigilante at Ogbe-ogonogo market, Asaba.

The suspects, namely Sunday Aguelobi,aged 26yrs and Obumeka Ononogbo, 25yrs, both of Umuomi Ngwo, Uguta II, Imo State had trailed one Abies Erhahon, 32yrs of DLA Road, Asaba, from First Bank, Illah road, Asaba, where she had gone to withdraw money to Ogbe-ogonogo market.

Police says the suspects broke into the victim’s car and stole her handbag containing the sum of Two hundred and forty thousand naira (N240,000.00), when she went inside the market to buy a few things.

State Commissioner of Police, Delta State, CP Zanna M. Ibrahim who confirmed the arrest said they will be arraigned in court at the conclusion of investigation.

He however called on Deltans to be more security conscious so as not to be taken unaware during the ’ember’ months.
