Police Arrest Eight Persons Suspected Of Kidnapping Chibok Schoolgirls

The Nigerian Police has arrested eight persons suspected to have taken part in the kidnap of the 276 Chibok schoolgirls in Borno state and have been paraded in Maiduguri, the state capital. According to ChannelTv, the eight suspected Boko Haram terrorists who are among 22 persons paraded, were said to have been arrested by operatives of the Inspector General’s Intelligence Response Team (IGP’s IRT) in Borno, Adamawa and other adjoining communities. Meanwhile, the suspects are alleged to have masterminded over 50 suicide bomb attacks within Maiduguri and Adamawa.   Two policemen lost their lives in the Birnin Gwari area of Kaduna state on Monday night. Spokesman of the state police command, Mukhtar Aliyu who confirmed this in a statement, said the deceased officers were on a special operation against bandits. While morning their colleagues, policemen fired live bullets indiscriminately and a 26-year-old woman was killed by a stray bullet.
