  The House of Representatives has considered for passage the Nigerian Maritime University, Okerenkoko, Delta State (Establishment bill) into law, a development which douse controversy over the renaming of the bill. BigPen Online learnt that the bill was among the ones considered for passage at the resume sitting of the House on Thursday but was deferred till next week plenary.   Oil rich Ugborodo community in Warri South West Local Government Area of Delta state have asked President Muhammadu Buhari to call the Olu of Warri Kingdom, HRM Ogiame Ikenwoli I to order, alleging that the monarch wants to reignite another ethnic war in Warri, Delta state. Tahir, an officer in the office of the Attorney General and Minister for Justice, Abubakar Malami which purport that the correct name of the community hosting the Nigerian Maritime University should be Okerenghigho and not Okerenkoko. IYC said that with the memo it is now obvious and crystal clear that the Buhari led administration does not want the Nigerian Maritime University to start academic activities hence "this new diversionary strategy to cause unnecessary inter-ethic crisis in the area wherein the university is situated and the Niger Delta at large". Ijaw Youths Council, (IYC) has reacted to an advertorial by Itsekiri National Youth Council (INYC), which threatened that if the name of the Nigerian Maritime University, Okerenkoko is not changed to Nigerian Maritime University, Okerenghigho, there may be anarchy in Nigeria.
