  Nigeria Federal Government have released a fresh list of alleged Treasury Looters. The list was made available to newsmen on Sunday by Minister of Information and Culture, Alhaji Lai Mohammed. The list contained names of alleged looters which were released earlier based on verifiable facts, including the amount involved, the date the amount in question was collected and from where it was taken. The Federal Government has reacted to the barrage of attacks by some of the named treasury looters and has gone further to name 23 others, most of them members of the Peoples Democratic Party. Declare Names Of Looters Now, Court Orders Buhari, Osinbajo

Following a Freedom of Information Act 2011 suit brought by Socio-Economic Rights and Accountability Project (SERAP), a Federal High Court sitting in Lagos has ordered the Federal Government to immediately release to Nigerians information about the names of high ranking public officials from whom public funds were recovered and the circumstances under which funds were recovered. The government was also ordered to declare the exact amount of funds recovered from each public official. The judgment was delivered on Wednesday by Hon Justice Hadiza Rabiu Shagari following a Freedom of Information suit number: FHC/CS/964/2016 brought by Socio-Economic Rights and Accountability Project (SERAP).
