Delta Govt Denies Fueling IPMAN’s Election Crisis

The Delta State Government has denied allegations that it was fueling the election crisis rocking the Independent Petroleum Marketers Association of Nigeria (IPMAN), Warri Depot Unit. The Delta State Attorney-General and Commissioner for Justice, Barr. Peter Mrakpor, made the clarification at a press briefing held on Monday in Asaba. Barr. Mrakpor stated that it was necessary to make this clarification because of different stories that had been going on, saying that the Delta State Government has no preferred candidate. According to him, the State Government was not conducting any union election or had any plan of such, stressing that the Government role, based on IPMAN appeal, was to assist in creating an enabling environment.
