Okowa Signs Bill of N308.9 Billion 2018 Budget Into Law

  Governor Ifeanyi Okowa of Delta State has signed the N308.9billion appropriation bill into law.  The governor performed the exercise at Government House Asaba, the state capital after which he went into an interactive session with newsmen.  Okowa was flanked by the Speaker of the Delta State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Sheriff Oborevwori, his Deputy, Rt. Hon. Friday Osanebi Ossai, Clerk of the House, Mrs Lyna Ochukor, and other principal officers of the House while he signed the budget into law. The Delta State Government has disowned one of the Governor's aide who made 'official statement' reportedly insulting the people of Isoko nation, saying that only the Commissioner for Information and the Chief Press Secretary to the Governor has authority to issue statement on behalf of the government.
