Lagos-based firebrand human rights lawyer, Festus Keyamo (SAN) has berated the Inspector General of Police (IGP) for the reported arrest of members of Bring Back Our Girls movement during a protest march in Abuja on Tuesday. Though the arrested protesters have since been released, Keyamo call on the Nigerian Police to immediately apologise to the members of the group for the unwarranted, unjustified and provocative trespass on their persons and deprivation of their freedoms. The Legal Practitioners’ Privileges Committee on Thursday awarded Lagos lawyer, Mr. Festus Keyamo, the rank of the Senior Advocate of Nigeria after he was denied eight previous times.
