Nigeria’s President, Muhammadu Buhari's announcement to visit some troubled States in the country, particularly in the North is not unconnected to the visit of Rex Tillerson, U.S. Secretary of State to Nigeria, BigPen Online can report. Delta Police Command Allay Fears Of Boko Haram Invasion Of Asaba, Sapele

The Delta State Police Command has dismissed rumours making the round that over 2000 members of Boko Haram were already in Asaba, as part of the agenda to Islamize Nigeria. State Commissioner of Police, Mr Zanna Ibrahim in a statement made available to BigPen Online on Friday allayed fear of residents who were made to believe that the insurgents group had overran Asaba,  the state capital and Sapele. He described the rumour as "spurious and irresponsible", saying that it was spread through WhatsApp. "The Command considers such ill-conceived rumour-mongering as unacceptable and a calculated attempt to sow seeds of confusion, hate, chaos and anarchy in the state.
