Ibrahim Magu, the Acting Chairman of the Economic and Financial Commission, on Thursday sent a warning notice to contractors who had abandoned multi-million Naira projects across the Niger Delta that it would soon visit the project sites to see the level of work done in relation to the money paid to those contractors. Magu warned that where public fund is found to have been taken without utilizing it for the reason it was released, those involved would be made to face the full weight of the law. A large-scale fraud has been uncovered in the Presidential Amnesty Programme (PAP), involving some institutions of higher learning in the country. The fraud was discovered following an in-house committee headed by the Head of Reintegration, Amnesty Office, Chief Aroloyeteim Brown, who verified beneficiaries of the Amnesty Programme in local universities in the country.
