Russia and Nigeria has signed agreements on construction and operation of a Nuclear Power Plant and a Research Center housing a multi-purpose nuclear research reactor on the territory of Federal Republic of Nigerians. The parties also signed a roadmap for cooperation in the field of peaceful usage of nuclear technologies. On behalf of Rosatom the documents were signed by Anton Moskvin, Vice president for Marketing and Business Development of Rusatom Overseas (a part of the State Atomic Energy Corporation Rosatom). This was announced on Monday in a statement by presidential spokesman, Femi Adesina. Adesina said the development followed Buhari’s study of the report of the panel headed by the Vice President, Prof Yemi Osinbajo (SAN), which investigated allegations against Lawal and Oke. Group Faults Appeal Court Order For Seizure Of Tompolo’s Properties

The group, Foundation fir Human Rights and Anti-corruption Crusade, (FOHURAC) has faulted the decision of the Court of Appeal, Lagos Division affirming the ruling of the Federal High Court for the forfeiture of High Chief Government Ekpemupolo's (a.k.a Tompolo) property. National President of the group, Alaowei Cleric said that it disagreed with the verdict because the law that empowered the EFCC to seize the property of an accused person for failure to attend court is inconsistent with the Constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria. The statement read in part; "The Constitution empowers every Nigerian whether an accused or not to own and acquire immovable property anywhere in the Country.  "The same Constitution also said an accused is a free man until proven guilty.

The police in Ebrumede, near Warri, Delta State has gunned down three suspected armed robbers during an ensued gun duel. It was learnt that a Police Patrol Team led by one Insp. Yaya from the Ebrumede Police Divisional in Uvwie Local Government Area of the state killed the suspects at about 9:45pm on Tuesday October 24.
