Edo State Governor Godwin Obaseki has ordered the arrest of Godwin Oguyenbo, who is poised to be installed as the Pere of Olodiama Kingdom. The governor ordered the arrest of those involved in the planned coronation, either as a beneficiary, participant or sponsor. A statement by the Secretary to the State Government, Osarodion Ogie, described the planned coronation as “egregiously abominable, sacrilegious and criminal”. It said the pronouncement constituted an affront to the long-settled culture, traditions and norms of the people, Nation has reported.
