The Secretary of the All Progressive Congress (APC) in Edo State, Mr. Lawrence Okah, says he is lucky to be alive after a bomb explosion rocked his residence in the early hours of Tuesday.
Okah, who spoke with newsmen on the incident, said that the suspected assailant were behind the bomb attack targeted at him.
The attack took place at about 12:30am, according to him.
At dawn, APC chieftain and governorship aspirant, Pastor Osagie Ize-Iyamu, including Dr Pius Odudu visited the scene on solidarity.
Ize-Iyamu, while speaking to journalists warned that Edo should not be turned to a war zone.
He however called the attention of the Inspector General of Police, Muhammed Adamu, and President Muhammadu Buhari to the attacks in Edo State, wondered why no arrest had been made.
“Since the beginning of these series of attacks on our members in the state, we are surprised that no arrest has been.
“Will the police say they don’t know about it? We know that if the police want to do their jobs they can do it perfectly, so we are calling on them to do their jobs and save our lives,” he said.
