Community Policing Takes Effect In Delta As 237 Police Constables Deploy To LG Of Origin

In the spirit of community policing, Delta State Police Command would be deploying the two hundred and thirty-seven Police Constables, of Delta State origin who recently passed out from Police Training School, Benin City.

Police Public Relations Officer, Andrew Aniamaka, a Deputy Superintendent of Police, who disclosed this in a statement on Friday, said that the Commissioner of Police in the state, Mr Ibrahim Zanna has directed that the the constables would be posted to their local government of origin in the spirit of community policing.

He said that the Commissioner of Police, while receiving the Police Constables, had admonished the newly passed out Police Constables posted to Delta State Police Command, to know the laws of the land and operate within the provisions of such laws.

The CP advised the new officers to be disciplined, respect the citizens’ right, eschew corruption and to be good ambassadors of the Nigeria Police Force.
