Delta PDP Pegs Chairmanship Nomination Form At N1m

Delta chairmanship aspirants under the platform of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP are to pay N1million for the nomination form while the councillorship aspirants will pay N200, 000. Nomination forms will be free for all female aspirants. This was contained in a time-table and schedule of activities of the party released for the conduct of the local government election scheduled for 6 January, 2018 by the Delta state independent electoral commission DSIEC.   In the spirit of community policing, Delta State Police Command would be deploying the two hundred and thirty-seven Police Constables, of Delta State origin who recently passed out from Police Training School, Benin City. Police Public Relations Officer, Andrew Aniamaka, a Deputy Superintendent of Police, who disclosed this in a statement on Friday, said that the Commissioner of Police in the state, Mr Ibrahim Zanna has directed that the the constables would be posted to their local government of origin in the spirit of community policing. Controversy has continued to trail the alleged detention of two minors for eight months by a private hospital in Udu council area of Delta state over inability of their parent/guardians to pay N400, 000 medical bill. The group, International Federation of Female Lawyers,IFFL (Litigation Committee) Delta State Branch which has taken up the matter with the hospital on Wednesday October 4, alleged that the hospital, Royal Clinic in Udu Local Government Area detained two minors, Caryn Erikhioya (16yrs) and Great Favour(14years) for eight months against their wish.
